Five groups have booked the screening of the Off-Broadway run in December alone, for their holiday zoom gatherings. I'm adding a live zoom Q&A. Raising a toast to the First Ladies!
With zoom land upon us, I'm delighted to be bringing the prerecorded show virtually to audiences all over the country. Reaching across the aisle, the play is a balm in this post-election time.
Delighted to be part of the "50+ Solo Show Panel" webinar for Actors' Equity. The advantages of Zoom: 500 actors were able to join us to listen and ask questions!
Months of my "TEA FOR THREE: Lady Bird, Pat & Betty" bookings to be rescheduled at a time nobody knows, as we all find our way forward...sending waves of strength to all who are facing challenges during this time of coronavirus.
Mask made by my clever friend Marty Van Kleeck. Led a delightful zoom workshop for Whittier College on "Performing Non-Fiction." The students were in the midst of researching, writing, and performing their own short pieces on public figures, so they were full of questions about the process. Kudos to their creative professor, Jennifer Sage Holmes, for assigning the adventure!
After performances in NY and NJ, TEA FOR THREE: Lady Bird, Pat & Betty will head to Florida: the Delray Beach Playhouse on Mar. 14 and the Mizner Park Cultural Center in Boca Raton on Mar. 15. Palm trees ahead... (pic by Andrea Reese)
Milton Theatre in 110 Union St, Milton, Delaware Sunday, Feb. 23 at 3 and 7 PM
Tix: https://www.miltontheatre.com/ January has been a rolicking month working with young actors around the country: after NJ Thespians, I dove into leading workshops (monologue intensives, acting for singers, cold reading and hidden impulses, a writing workshop) with PA Thespians, MO Thespians and TN Thespians. The students' openheartedness was striking -- reaffirming that collaboration, not competition, is the key to artistic growth.
Wrapping up the month teaching On-Camera Acting in a three-day residency at Bucknell University. The newly formed Teaching Artist Alliance has gathered a group of teaching artists with a variety of offerings and years of experience. Delighted to join them.
